Cell signalling
Fibroblasts take up the exosomes and read the information they carry. The vesicles tell the cell to switch on repair programmes that slow down with age.
Regenerative medicine · Buenos Aires
Nanometric vesicles carrying regeneration signals to the skin's fibroblasts. They work on texture, radiance and firmness progressively; they do not fill or lift structures. The protocol is defined in an individual medical assessment.

Results vary from patient to patient and cannot be guaranteed. The indication and scope of any procedure are defined only after an individual medical assessment.
Dra. Jenny assesses your skin and designs the Skinretin Xpert protocol best suited to your skin type and goals.
Every treatment begins with a personalised assessment consultation. The approach
Nanometric extracellular vesicles (30 to 150 nanometres) produced naturally by cells such as stem cells. Unlike cells themselves, they have no nucleus and cannot divide: they are intercellular messengers carrying functional proteins, mRNA, microRNA and regeneration signals.
Once taken up by dermal fibroblasts, they help activate the genes responsible for producing type I collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, and support the modulation of the inflammatory mechanisms associated with skin ageing. It is a route of biological information distinct from — and complementary to — conventional PRP.
It is worth being honest about expectations: exosomes do not fill or lift structures the way hyaluronic acid or thread lifts do. They work on skin quality — texture, radiance, firmness — and their effect is progressive. The extent and duration of the result vary from patient to patient.
The mechanism
Fibroblasts take up the exosomes and read the information they carry. The vesicles tell the cell to switch on repair programmes that slow down with age.
That signal supports the synthesis of type I and III collagen, elastin and endogenous hyaluronic acid, and helps modulate matrix metalloproteinases — the enzymes that break down the skin's supporting matrix.
They also have an anti-inflammatory effect: they help calm reactive skin and support recovery after procedures such as peels or laser. Hence one of their most valued applications.
The effect is progressive. The number of sessions and the timeline vary from patient to patient and are assessed in consultation.
The protocol
The Skinretin Xpert Pack combines stem cell-derived exosomes with microencapsulated retinol, stabilised vitamin C and high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid. No active works alone: the point of the pack is to address skin regeneration through several routes at once.
There is no single «best component»: the value of the protocol lies in the synergy. Dra. Jenny defines the combination and the application technique according to your anatomy and skin condition during the consultation.
Is it for you?
The prior assessment consultation exists precisely to review your history and decide honestly whether exosomes are the right option for your case — even when that option is not the treatment on this page.
The procedure
A session takes approximately 60 minutes at the practice.
Afterwards
Recovery is minimal: most patients resume daily life the same day. Mild redness, a sensation of warmth or slight flaking are normal, particularly when applied with microneedling; these tend to subside within 24 to 72 hours. Skin may feel more sensitive to touch and reactive to sun during the first week, so sun protection is essential.
If redness increases, or you have intense pain, signs of infection or any unexpected reaction, contact the practice.
How it combines
Exosomes do not compete with other treatments: they complement one another, and each one solves a different problem better.
They add volume or reposition structures. Exosomes work on the quality of the skin those treatments act upon.
With marked laxity, a lift offers a clearly superior result. Exosomes work better as a complement than as a substitute.
Their anti-inflammatory effect supports recovery after peels, laser or facial surgery.
The assessment consultation exists precisely to decide which combination makes most sense in each case, and in what order.
Specialist in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
I am a plastic surgeon with a practice focused on facial rejuvenation. My practice covers the whole spectrum of the face: from the Deep Plane Facelift and facial surgery (necklift, temporal lift, blepharoplasty, lip lift, rhinoplasty) to non-surgical treatments (hyaluronic acid, thread lifts, PRP and other injectables).
My criterion: a facelift is not a surgery about age, it is a surgery about laxity. That is why my first job is not to operate, but to assess honestly who is a candidate today — and who is not yet. Titular Member of the SCPBA — Buenos Aires Plastic Surgery Society · M.N. 146.616
Frequently asked questions
Exosomes are nanometric extracellular vesicles (30–150 nm) produced by stem cells. They act as intercellular messengers that transport proteins, RNA and biological signals instructing recipient cells to activate regeneration processes, collagen production and inflammation reduction. They are considered an advanced therapeutic line within regenerative medicine, with a specific mechanism of action.
PRP uses growth factors from the patient's own blood, while exosomes are nanometric vesicles loaded with regeneration signals derived from stem cells. Exosomes act on regeneration mechanisms and do not require a blood draw, with an effect whose duration varies from patient to patient. Additionally, the Skinretin Xpert protocol combines exosomes with retinol, vitamin C and hyaluronic acid for a multifactorial action.
The Skinretin Xpert protocol is generally applied in cycles of 3 to 4 sessions, spaced every 2 to 4 weeks. Results are progressive and consolidate in the weeks following each session. For cases of advanced aging or very damaged skin, a second cycle per year may be indicated. Dr. Jenny personalizes the number of sessions based on the skin condition and each patient's goals.
Exosome treatment is especially indicated for patients with signs of skin aging, sun-damaged skin, skin following procedures such as peels or laser, pigmentation concerns and melasma, and sensitive or reactive skin. It is also ideal as a post-surgical complement to accelerate recovery from facial surgeries. It has no major contraindications and is well tolerated by almost all skin types.
The application is performed in the clinic and usually takes about 60 minutes. Depending on the protocol indicated for each skin type, the Skinretin Xpert preparation is applied with microneedling, superficial mesotherapy or enhanced transdermal absorption techniques, so that the exosomes reach the dermal layers where fibroblasts act. The specific technique is defined during the evaluation consultation.
It is a well-tolerated treatment. When performed with microneedling, mild discomfort may be felt, which is minimized with prior topical anesthesia. In the hours following the session, the skin may show mild redness or a sensation of warmth that resolves on its own. No rest is required and most patients resume their activities on the same day.
Exosomes work on skin quality and their effect is progressive: collagen regeneration and improvement in texture and radiance build over the weeks following each session and consolidate throughout the cycle. It is not an immediate-effect treatment like a filler. The pace and extent of improvement vary from patient to patient and are evaluated during the consultation.
During the first few days, strict sun protection is recommended (5–7 days), avoiding direct sun exposure, sauna and swimming pools, and suspending strong acids, home-use retinoids and exfoliants for 48–72 hours. Keep the skin clean and hydrated, and postpone makeup for the first few hours if the application was with microneedling. Cycle follow-up is included.
No — they solve different things and complement each other. Exosomes improve skin quality (texture, firmness, radiance) and support post-procedure recovery, but they do not add volume or lift structures. For volume there is hyaluronic acid; for mild to moderate laxity, thread lifts; and when there is severe laxity or excess skin, surgical lifting offers a clearly superior result. The consultation determines the best combination for each case.
It is not indicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the presence of active infections or lesions in the treatment area, in autoimmune diseases or active oncological processes without authorization from the treating physician, or in cases of known allergy to any component of the preparation. The prior evaluation consultation reviews your medical history and determines whether exosomes are the most suitable option for your case.
The indication, scope and planning of any procedure are defined only after an individual medical assessment.
