It all starts with a consultation
At the consultation there is a detailed assessment of facial proportions, a discussion of goals and the design of the treatment plan.
Every treatment begins with a personalised assessment consultation. The treatment
It is already in the body.
From the late twenties it starts to run short.
Hyaluronic acid is a molecule naturally present in the skin, connective tissue and joints. Its function is to retain water and maintain tissue volume and hydration.
From our late twenties onwards the body's natural production declines, which brings loss of volume, the appearance of folds and skin that is less firm. Medical-grade fillers make it possible to address different areas in a planned, controlled way. The product, the amount and the areas are defined at the consultation.
The areas
Restore volume,
or define a feature.
It can be used in most areas of the face where there is volume loss or lack of definition.
Which areas apply, and in what order, is defined at the consultation after the analysis of proportions.
The products
Not every filler
is the same material.
Different formulations have different properties — viscosity, elasticity, water-binding capacity — which makes them suitable for different areas and indications.
The brands used are certified by ANMAT and by the FDA: Juvederm (Allergan), Restylane (Galderma) and Teosyal (Teoxane). Which one is used, and in what amount, is selected according to each patient's anatomy at the prior consultation.
Is it for you?
Restore what was lost,
or define what was already there.
Hyaluronic acid fillers are suitable for a wide range of patients. The assessment at the consultation determines the most appropriate plan for each case.
Common reasons
- Volume lost with ageingAdults over 18 who would rather not have surgery
- Defining featuresLips, chin or cheeks, to improve proportion
- Subtle asymmetriesCorrected in a non-invasive way
- Structural under-eye hollowsOf the volumetric kind
Conditions
- Prior facial assessmentWith analysis of proportions and reference photos
- Good general healthNo active infection in the area to be treated
- Realistic expectationsHarmony with your own features, not a different face
At the consultation I assess your proportions and tell you what applies — or whether nothing applies yet.
The procedure
Outpatient,
with no required downtime.
A typical session begins with the consultation and facial mapping: a detailed assessment of facial proportions, a discussion of goals and the design of the treatment plan, with reference photographs taken beforehand.
Topical anaesthetic cream is then applied and the product is placed at the points defined in the plan.
Aftercare
There is barely any recovery.
There are instructions.
Most patients return to normal activities the same day. These guidelines help the result settle well.
Timings are indicative: recovery is assessed at the check-ups. Results vary by patient and cannot be guaranteed.
Medical criterion
Nothing is decided
from a screen.
The indication, scope and planning of any procedure are defined only after an individual medical assessment.
Send your photos on WhatsApp and, subject to availability, I will reply with a preliminary assessment for your case. The fee is defined at the assessment consultation.
Dra. Jenny Ortega
De La Rosa
Specialist in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
I am a plastic surgeon with a practice focused on facial rejuvenation. My practice covers the whole spectrum of the face: from the Deep Plane Facelift and facial surgery (necklift, temporal lift, blepharoplasty, lip lift, rhinoplasty) to non-surgical treatments (hyaluronic acid, thread lifts, PRP and other injectables).
My criterion: a facelift is not a surgery about age, it is a surgery about laxity. That is why my first job is not to operate, but to assess honestly who is a candidate today — and who is not yet. Titular Member of the SCPBA — Buenos Aires Plastic Surgery Society · M.N. 146.616
Frequently asked
What people ask
before deciding.
The duration of the effect varies for each patient and is assessed at the consultation, depending on the area treated, the product used, and individual metabolism. Lip fillers tend to metabolize faster due to muscle movement, while cheek, chin, and temple fillers tend to last longer. A maintenance touch-up session keeps results looking their best.
Discomfort is minimal. Topical anesthetic cream is applied 20–30 minutes before the procedure, and most premium fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Teosyal) already contain lidocaine in their formulation. Most patients describe the sensation as a mild pinch or pressure during injection — significantly more comfortable than a dental injection.
Natural results are the guiding principle at Dr. Jenny's practice. The goal is enhancement that complements your features — not an obvious transformation. Conservative volumes, anatomically-based injection placement, and the choice of the right product for each area are the keys to results that look refreshed and harmonious rather than "done." The ideal outcome is that people notice you look great without being able to identify why.
In selected cases, a doctor may prescribe hyaluronidase to treat hyaluronic acid fillers. Its use, the response to it and its risks require an individual medical assessment, and complete removal is not guaranteed.
